What Happens in Quirks Mode?
Great article which outlines some of the behaviors which are different between Quirks Mode and Standards/Strict mode. Course, if you're still building in Quirks mode, you'll read this and be like, “so?” What's interesting to me is that the top issues are IE issues... yeah.
Flex goes Open Source
Quick write up with links on Adobe open sourcing Flex. Pretty slick move, Adobe. I'm just wondering if they were planning that before MS released WPF/E? Not like that was a surprise, you could see it miles away. Maybe an attempt to get eyeballs?
Faster Page Loads With Image Concatenation
BorkWeb has an article over there talking about how you can speed up page loading by combining images. I was all excited and then I saw one example had a spacer.gif. Hmmm, might not need that though, it doesn't have to be image replacement. Is this different from CSS Sprites, or no?
